• There is so much to mourn, at this point in the universe. So, so much has been lost, from lives and livelihoods, to knowledge and archives. The newer generations, like Din Djarin, never had the chance to learn information that the past generations took for granted.
• Din feeling mourning the loss of Mandalorian culture as a whole. He was raised in a covert, and didn’t even know that Mandalorians that took off their helmets existed for a long time. There’s so few Mandalorians left that it took him a long tie to encounter one outside his covert. Mandalore is glassed, and the things that Bo-Katan reminisces about, Din will never be able to experience.
• Din mourning the loss of Grogu. Though he’s not dead, the two are still separated (pre-season 3). Din encountering things in his life that remind him of Grogu.

If you want to write a ship for this fandom, here are my thoughts!

People have called this "A League of Boyfriends," and I very much agree with that! Here is basically how I see things:

Lan Jue's boyfriends: Wang Mowen, Zhang Ping, (+ bonus ex: Gu Qingzhang)
Zhang Ping's boyfriends: Lan Jue, the Emperor, Wang Mowen, Chen Chou (but I'm also cool with more of a bromance for them)

If you don't want the whole polycule, I'm totally down for Zhang Ping/Lan Jue or Zhang Ping/Lan Jue/Wang Yan. I'd prefer not to have Zhang Ping/Chen Chou without the rest of the polycule.

I don't particularly care whether you mention Lan Jue's dead wife and kid or not. It got mentioned like once in the show so it's easily ignorable, but I don't have strong feelings about that.
